Graffiti wipe out is a city project that organizes groups of volunteers to paint over graffiti around the neighbourhoods of San Antonio. Omega Delta Phi always strives to make and impact on our surrounding community we call our home. Throughout the year we host and attend many different community services projects. This year we’re starting reach out to other Greek organizations such as Sigma Sigma Sigma to join us on our mission. Our goal is to event everyone who would like to service with us. In the near future we will be having another group service with Kappa Delta Chi.

We enjoy graffiti wipe out, in fact, every spring Alpha Pi hosts a campus wide event in conjunction with the city called Kick the Clutter. Stay tuned for more community service projects, we look forward to rechedule with Sigma Sigma Sigma.

On September 11th the brothers along with the sisters of Sigma Sigma Sigma held a very successful BBQ in Quad. Unfortunately we had rainy weather that day, and for a second a lot of people had their doubts on whether or not we were still going to have the BBQ. Despite the weather our brother Gilbert Reyna (aka Giblets) saved the day with his amazing grilling skills. He even went as far as bringing his own pit, just in case. The rain was off and on and luckily the sisters of Sigma Sigma Sigma brought their cover which provided a safe haven for us. Considering the rain we had a great turned out. We passed out about 40 burgers and around 60 hot dogs. This event was a collaboration between both of us; It was nice to work with such a well organised sorority.

For those of you who don’t know, every Friday all the Greeks at St. Mary’s display their letter in quad. Quad is the courtyard in back of St. Louis and to the side of Rein Bolt. You’ll find that every Friday there is something new. If you haven’t come out one yet feel free to stop by our letters and chat with one of us. We don’t bite.
